Just a little bit of attention will help make your screenshot 10x more beautiful! In this post, I will share with you how best to use **Xnapper** to capture beautiful screenshots.
Rule 1: Padding!
- Have some space (breathing room).
- If the image has text, make sure the text is readable.
❌ Ugly (not enough spacing, look bad, text may get cut off in some social media sites)

❌ Bad (text too small, so much empty background space)

✅ Good (just enough space, clear text size)

Tip: Pay attention to these space! 👇

Adjust the Padding and Inset parameter in Xnapper to have the best screenshot!
🤔 Why you should add padding:
- Some social media sites crop your screenshots if the ratio isn’t perfect, your screenshots will be cropped off the the left/right or top/bottom.
- Ensuring the perfect ratio for each social media is annoying, the easier way is to add padding so that even if it crop off a little bit, your actual content will still be visible (without having people to click and expand the image to fullscreen!).
- …aaaand because it’s beautiful ✨
Rule 2: Focus!
- Don’t leave too much noise in the screenshot
- When you drag the screen capture area, make sure to only cover what you want to highlight.
- The irrelevant details can be very annoying!
❌ This is annoying (see the stuff around the chart: the dark left border, URL bar, etc.)

✅ This is beautiful and clean
